Restorative Dental Services
At our dental office in Moose Jaw, we offer a range of restorative dental services from fillings, bridges, crowns, root canals and dentures to TMJ treatment.
Restorative Dental Care
Any procedure that aims to restore your smile's normal function and appearance would be classified as restorative dental care.
By repairing structural issues such as missing or damaged teeth, our dentists can help restore your smile — and your oral health.
Our dentists at Aspen Dental will determine the most appropriate restorative treatment option for you, depending on the nature of your issue.
Dental Crowns & Bridges
These porcelain caps can be placed atop teeth to restore their function and appearance. Used to attach bridges, prevent a cracked tooth from deteriorating or cover dental implants, crowns can also help to restore a stained or discoloured tooth to its natural appearance.
Bridges are custom-made tooth replacements that look similar to natural teeth. They are bonded to dental implants or existing teeth to replace a section of missing teeth. These restorations are barely noticeable and can help restore the natural contour of the teeth, as well as the bite between upper and lower teeth.
Periodontal (Gum) Therapy
Gum disease is an infection of the tissues of the mouth, including the gums, gingiva, alveolar bone, cementum, and periodontal ligament.
If left untreated, this serious issue may cause bad breath, tooth decay and even loss of teeth. It can lead to a range of other health issues, including diabetes, heart health and ability to lead a healthy lifestyle. If the disease is caught in the early stages, preventive therapy will be recommended. Otherwise treatment methods will depend on the type and severity of the disease.
Dental Fillings
Composite (tooth-coloured fillings) are used to repair cavities or damage to teeth such as cracks. Fillings can endure moderate pressure from the continual stress of chewing and can be used on both front and back teeth to fill gaps in a patient's smile.
Full & Partial Dentures
Our dentists at Aspen Dental can use dentures to replace one missing tooth, several consecutive teeth (partial dentures) or an entire jaw of missing teeth (full dentures). With dentures, patients with missing teeth can maintain their facial structure.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings used to repair cavities when the damage is too extensive for a standard dental filling. They are custom-made in a dental laboratory and are then permanently cemented to the tooth.
Root Canals
A root canal is a procedure where your dentist removes diseased blood vessels, nerves and tissues from the interior of a tooth. By removing the decay and bacteria, your dentist can help halt the spread of infection.
Same-Day Restorations
Using CEREC® technology, our dentists can create and place porcelain crowns, inlays and onlays in a single dental appointment to help restore your smile. No impressions, no temporaries - just tooth-coloured, metal-free restorations in one easy visit.
TMJ Disorder Treatment
The temporomandibular joint (or TMJ) is a hinge that connects your jaw to the temporal bones of your skull. The disorder of this joint can cause a host of issues with your jaw and the muscles in your face, including painful symptoms. Our dentists can test for, diagnose and provide a treatment plan.
